How We Ate is a labor of love. It’s a four year long project chronicling the outdoor dining shelters that first appeared during the global pandemic.
Born of necessity, unconstrained by regulations, these structures have changed not only how New Yorkers eat, but how the city streets look.
Ten years, fifty years from now New Yorkers will look back on the pandemic years and outdoor dining shelters will be one of the things worth remembering.
